Intermediate Level Choice Board Sample for DI
Subject: Social Studies
Topic: Communities
Directions: Choose one of the ideas below to respond to in your blog post. Please see the rubric for choice board reponse on the right under "Important Links". A. Create a fictional community. What is the name of your community? Where is it located? (country, city, state...seaside, mountains, desert...etc.) What is this community famous for?

B. Look up the word "community" in the dictionary. What does it mean in any sense not related to a group of people living in the same location? Describe a situation where a community could be something different.
